Recently, the couple celebrated their son Ruhaan’s first birthday. The couple showed the celebration of this party to the fans through a vlog.
Deepika Kakkar’s mother-in-law showered love on her
While the family had a lot of fun on Ruhaan’s birthday, on the other hand, Deepika’s mother-in-law showered a lot of love on her. In their latest vlog, Shoaib and Deepika talked about the challenges they faced after Ruhaan’s birth and how their mothers also helped them. Deepika said that, as I am a mother of this generation, I wanted to raise Ruhaan in a special way. In this, my mother-in-law never pressured me by saying that ‘we have always done this, so you should also do the same’, which happens in many homes.
Deepika Kakkar said, ‘It is a challenge for many mothers to explain to others that they do not want to follow the earlier methods. We just had to explain things to Ammi once.’ The actress further said, ‘Yes, Ammi and even my mother used to say, ‘We used to do it this way,’ but the difference was only in understanding the new methods. When she understood, it became very easy for us too.’
‘Amma never complained’
Deepika said at the end of the vlog, ‘For example, I decided not to give sugar, salt or even water to Ruhaan in the beginning. So Ammi asked me why I was not giving him water. I never massaged him with oil, but when I explained to Ammi why I decided not to do so, she understood. She never complained about my things. So, I am very thankful that she understood me.’
Deepika’s mother-in-law also said a lot of things in her praise and hugged her daughter-in-law lovingly. Shoaib Ibrahim also agreed with Deepika and said that earlier mothers often gave lentil water to their children to drink, but nowadays doctors advise against such a habit. He stressed that times have changed and his family understands these things very well.
Along with this, Deepika also thanked her mother for always being there for her and said that her mother was her biggest support system during her pregnancy. She praised her mother for taking such good care of Ruhaan and being there for her.
